An online information system with accompanying web maps and tools is being constructed for six OECS countries (Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Grenada).  The combined effort is made possible through two projects; the first, titled “Climate-Resilient Eastern Caribbean Marine Managed Area Network” or ECMMAN is being funded through the International Climate Initiative via the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, the second through the World Bank’s Sustainable Financing and Management of the Eastern Caribbean Marine Ecosystem project.  Participants from the technical working group established through the these projects will use URISA pre-conference workshop forum to discuss the status of the GeoNode Caribbean prototype and be trained on how to use the system. Focused discussions will be held with each country representative about their existing workflow into the system, next steps and when the next beta version will be available and what it should include. Workshop organizers will also be soliciting feedback on how to improve both the workflow of information into the system and the user interface. Although this pre-conference workshop is directed towards specific working group and project deliverables, others are welcomed to sit in provided space.
