This workshop will help prepare you to author and publish GIS resources to your organization's ArcGIS Online subscription account. You will learn what types of content can be published to ArcGIS Online, how to author GIS resources to support their planned use, and how to extend the usefulness of those resources with web maps and web applications.
You’ll learn to:
* Determine what type of GIS resource is needed to support a given use case.
* Publish feature services and tiled map services to ArcGIS Online.
* Use ArcGIS Online tools to efficiently create and configure web maps and web applications.
* Share services, web maps, and web applications to organizational groups, to all organizational users, and to the public.

Your organization's ArcGIS Online site is a source for GIS data, web maps, and other geographic content that can inform and add value to your projects. This workshop teaches how to discover content hosted on an ArcGIS Online organizational site, determine if the content is suitable for your needs, and interact with the content using web maps and Esri Maps for Office.
You’ll learn to:
  • Find content on ArcGIS Online and assess whether the content meets your project needs.
  • Add content to a web map, modify the map display, and create filters to focus on features of interest.
  • Create a map inside Microsoft Excel to analyze spreadsheet data and data added from ArcGIS Online.
  • Create a PowerPoint slide to share an Excel map.
  • Use the foundational apps in ArcGIS Online: Collector for ArcGIS, Explorer, Operations Dashboard, etc.
