This session will provide an oversight of the training and academic programs in Geographic Information Systems and related disciplines that are offered by national and regional institutions. The session will feature presentations from Dr. Earl Edwards, Program Coordinator, MSc. Geoinformatics program at UWI, St. Augustine, Dr. Bheshem Ramlal, Head, Department of Geomatics Engineering and Land Management at UWI, St. Augustine. In addition, input from industry employees will sought with respect to their needs. Experiences from GIS educators would be sought in arriving at the most appropriate strategy to meet the needs of the Caribbean region with respect to GIS Education.
